2006 Les Amours Syrah

“Les Amours” is a blend of Syrah from the Thompson and White Hawk vineyards with a little Mourvèdre from the Alta Mesa vineyard for structure. As VIE is all about “enjoying life”, Les Amours is all about the “loves” in life. Les Amours embraces this philosophy exhibited in its opaque black/purple color and smoky, fried bacon Syrah bouquet. On the palate it shows powerful blackberry fruit and a slight barbecue and pepper spice with a full-bodied structure that finishes long in the mouth. Enjoy this with hearty red meat or by itself and feel free to cellar it for up to 10 years.
